 Things you will see and do:  

Waterfalls, glaciers, glacial lagoon, short hiking, basaltic columns, puffins (in summer)  

A “live for the moment “day filled with spectacular sights. Þórsmörk nature reserve offers a unique composition of three glaciers, tuff bedrock and greenery, not to mention the glacial rivers we have to cross to get there. We will walk up to the edge of the Eyjafjallajökull glacier and see where a small glacial lagoon was washed away in volcanic eruption April 2010, then return to the beautiful south shore of Iceland. We will visit the impressive waterfall of Seljalandsfoss. On Sólheimajökull glacier is opportunity to take an easy glacier walk on crampons up on to the ice field (about 1 ½ hour walk.) It is an experience you never forget. You will be shown how to use the equipment be four your walk on the ice field with your guide. Please note; glacier walk is not included in the tour price and not for children under 12 years. After the Glacier we will drive to the magical Reynirsfjara beach with its basaltic columns where puffins can be spotted during the summer.  At the end of the day we will come by the waterfall Skógafoss before returning back to Reykjavik after a full day tour.  

Optional: end the day relaxing in a warm outdoor swimming pool in Reykjavík.  

Things to take along on a trip like this would be:  

Good hiking shoes, camera, bathing suit, towels, warm outdoor clothing, waterproof jacket and pants and remember that Icelandic weather can change suddenly without prior warning.  

Please note: lunch and the Glacier walk is not included in the price.
