Snæfellsnes Peninsula, Arnarstapi and Hellnar, into the nature
Season: from April 1 to October 15
Things you will see and do:
volcanoes, craters, geothermal areas, hot springs and possibly a warm bath in one of the local springs, basaltic columns.
We will drive to Snæfellsnes peninsula, which is dominated by the glacier Snæfellsjökull and where, according to Jules Verne’s book Journey to the Centre of the Earth, the actual entrance to the centre of the earth can be found. We will visit the tiny fishing hamlet of Arnarstapi with its rich summertime birdlife as well as the harbour at Hellnar, where a lovely little café is open during the summer months. The surroundings are magnificent with an abundance of basaltic columns and lava fields. We will continue our tour to some other interesting spots on the peninsula, having an opportunity to take a relaxing bath in a natural warm spring as we continue our journey from the peninsula or in a swimming pool in Reykjavík after the tour.
Things to take along on a trip like this would be:
Good hiking shoes, camera, bathing suit, towels, warm outdoor clothing, waterproof jacket and pants. It is wise to remember that Icelandic weather can change suddenly without prior warning.

Please note: lunch is not included in the price.
